Baz & Fred take a trip to tequila

Ram’s Skull Tequila

For Baz and Fred, great food has always been at the heart of everything they do. Their journey started in kitchens, creating unforgettable flavours. Those high standards from the early days have carried through in everything they have turned their hands to. That attention to detail was clear in the rums they created; next up they were determined to keep up those standards for their tequila mission.

venturing to Mexico

Baz and Fred set off to Mexico to the Highland region of Jalisco to a hidden gem of a tequila distillery; La Magdalena with the Hawkridge founders hoping to come back with a tequila they’d be proud to put their Ram’s Skull stamp on. The boys got stuck in, chopped the blue agave; were shown all the minute processes that are needed to produce a world class tequila. They returned to the UK raising their sombreros in the air victorious, the dream of having a tequila would become a reality.

This indulgent liqueur is the love child of Ram’s Skull and Wogan Coffee, combining the essence of multi-generational family businesses in taste and spirit. The Nicaraguan La Bastilla sings chocolate and hazelnut from the hills of Jinotega, and blends perfectly with the Blanco Tequila from Jalisco, Mexico. The two work harmoniously together to create a nostalgic yet original coffee tequila.

Rich, smooth coffee tequila with deep cocoa notes, velvety texture, warm finish, subtle sweetness, hints of caramel, chocolate, roasted undertones, luxurious.

The TnT

Become part of the revolution with a TnT (Tequila & Tonic) in hand, sipping on it to enjoy its smoothness - savouring it rather than dreading to shot repellent tequilas of old, equipped with a slice of lemon and salt, that plagued British back bars for so long. We are proud to play our small part in the tequila revolution, sip by sip. Salud!

  • Baz and Fred travelled to the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, teaming up with the expert distillers at La Magdalena. There, they chopped blue agave by hand, learned every step of the process, and helped craft a tequila worth bearing the Ram’s Skull name. From roasting agave hearts to slow fermentation and copper pot distillation every bottle is a taste of that journey.

  • We haven’t been able to confirm this one yet.

  • While our margaritas with Ram’s Skull Tequila are amazing, we also recommend trying out the TNT - our signature cocktail. Or better yet, sip it straight to really taste the bold, smooth flavor of the tequila.
